I discovered beads in 1994 and at once became passionate about what I could create with them. I particularly enjoy combining colors and shapes that enhance my centerpieces or the project itself, and revel in seeing my final creation enhance the wearer. I use several beading techniques when creating my pieces and strive for designs that have a simple, elegant beauty.
I began selling my pieces to friends, who then encouraged me to showcase my jewelry at fanfare exhibits and art festivals. My first year participating in such an event was 2004 where I showed my jewelry at the Lodi Art on the Sqaure Festival and the San Ramon Arts & Wine Festival. Since then I have displayed my jewelry by participating in several festivals throughout
Northern California, and each year I try to add a new venue to my schedule. In 2008 I had my first Open Studio and look to have one annually. You can find out when and what festivals I am scheduled to participate by clicking on the Show Schedules link.
Over the last 2 years, my husband has learned to cut and polish stones, this has been an exciting addition to my jewelry making, in that I now can choose beautiful stone slabs and have them custom cut for me.
